This commitment to public service seamlessly transitioned into his legal career, where Jeremy tirelessly defends plaintiffs’ civil rights, advocates for improved standards in healthcare and product safety, and contributes to the foundation of the justice system.
Jeremy’s legal journey commenced in Pennsylvania, where he served as an extern for United States Magistrate Susan E. Schwab in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Subsequently, as an associate attorney in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he fervently advocated for civil rights and fair compensation for victims of negligence.
Seeking Justice for Hawaiʻi Clients
Relocating to Kailua-Kona on the Big Island in 2016, Jeremy furthered his legal career by serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Melvin H. Fujino before eventually becoming a Partner specializing in personal injury litigation at a prominent firm in Honolulu.
In a bold move to better serve the community across Hawaiʻi, Jeremy and Robert made the decision to establish their own firm, Miyashita & O’Steen, combining their extensive experience with a fresh perspective. This endeavor reflects Jeremy’s resolute determination to safeguard justice in our community and his dedication to providing compassionate and effective legal representation to those in need.
Beyond his legal qualifications, Jeremy’s educational background in Religious Studies and Philosophy underscores his deep-seated values of empathy, diversity, and justice. Outside the office, he cherishes spending quality time outdoors with his family and their beloved dog, Maui.
